This gorgeous baby blanket is super plush, yet lightweight. The perfect texture and softness make this blanket ideal for any little baby’s naptime. Perfect for any little boy or girl, it’s the perfect gender neutral design and makes a perfect baby shower gift for an expectant mom.
What’s more, the blanket is the same on both sides – totally reversible!
Works up quickly using any size 3 or 4 yarn. Sample was made using Anne Geddes Baby Sport weight yarn from Red Heart Yarns. Crocheted using hook size I (5.5 mm) or similar. Sample blanket was 35″” square and used 4 full skeins.

I have a baby come in October and I think it will be a good pattern for this baby. And, with winter coming around in the next couple months, the blanket will keep the baby warm. I would like to do the reversible waffle stitch pattern or the baby too be.
Thank you
Dear Ms. Klaveren, Greetings to you! I purchased this pattern, the Reversible Waffle Baby Blanket. It is gorgeous…. so, Ok I bought everything…. vacationing at dads this week. Chained 121 as instructed…. Than double crocheted…. and it begins…. did about 6 rows back and forth as per your instructions yet… i was not getting those pretty little boxes…the waffles…. i was just getting rows and rows of dc one and FPDC alternating. Please help. Thank you claudia palacios
The pattern is accurate as written. If you are not ending up with a waffle pattern, as you should, then likely your stitch count if off. If you do not have it correct and have an extra stitch (or one too few) the waffle pattern will not work as it should. Be sure to double check your stitch count on row 1 and remember that the beg ch-2 always counts as a hdc. Hope that helps!
